America's Conservatism Inc. must reckon with how their ideological hubris reinvigorated racist structures utilized to humiliate labor advocates and confuse economic reforms.
There is a lot of progress that has been made and contemporary (younger especially) generations have the memory and lessons of the Civil Rights Movement. It is sad to see how effective the systemic ways racism is reinforced can be revealed, especially in times of rampant demagogues. Hopefully elections and general pushes for campaign finance, labor, and voting rights reforms can alleviate some of the pain of today.
