Beautiful America vs. Revanchist America
Republicans Are Proving That They Have the Most Negative View of America
The recent actions of America’s conservative party (and its partner organizations) beg the question: does this cohort like America in 2022?
Beautiful America works tirelessly to include all Americans; not just one specific demographic.
Beautiful America tries to learn from its mistakes by acknowledging its real history.
Beautiful America is reverent to its role in the world and to the security of other democracies.

The Republicans indulge in Revanchist America.
Revanchist America means that Republicans don’t give a cohesive argument about why gas prices are rising. Their instinct is to blame Democrats with all of the dog whistling, offensive rants, and raw unhealthy partisanship this entails.
Revanchist America loves a Republican Party that supports discrimination towards other Americans.
Revanchist America means that voting rights are a non-starter. Membership requires cruel support for relics of antebellum America and Jim Crow structures that are blatantly designed to disenfranchise large swaths of the nation.
Revanchist America means seeing the sole objective of global affairs as achieving global domination. To hell with our collective security and the integrity of our climate.
Revanchist America means having poor standards for one’s civic beliefs and political stances. Membership means being willfully and tragically influenced by right-wing entities promising a return to a lost and fictional golden age.
Evolution is natural. Though, some GOP Senate candidates like Herschel Walker appear to be challenging that fact. Â
But, I love the longer story of our unique American evolution.
Sadly, after seeing so much of the Republican-sponsored Trumpian chaos, hypocrisy, bigotry, and pain - I doubt this upwardly mobile narrative sometimes.
Revanchist America is just too loud some days.
